Service ProjectsService Projects are a great way for groups to interact with the community while
reaching out to those who need a helping hand. Nicaragua is the second
poorest country in the Western Hemisphere and most locals live on less
than 5 dollars a day. Many families live in houses with dirt floors, wood slats
and rusty tin roofs. The Staff at Campo make sure that we prepare for each team wanting to come to Nicaragua by helping to arrange ministry opportunities for those who are in need. |
The
countryside around Campo is full of farming communities who always need
skilled carpenters and masons with the desire and time to help repair
and even build new homes for these families. Government buildings in the
city of Rivas need repairs and painting, schools need new furniture built
and churches need renovations. Even Campo Alegría needs to expand;
a basketball court, baseball/soccer field, new buildings and storage facilities
all need to be constructed by skilled and willing teams so we can continue
to reach out to more people in our area.
