Getting there...
It is a two-hour ride to Campo Alegrîa from Managua. After passing
km103 on the Trans American Highway, look for a sign to "Potosi Village."
Turn LEFT past fields of plantains and bananas to continue traveling toward
Campo Alegrîa. The last half hour is on a gravel, sometimes muddy,
road. When re-locking the gate, avoid locking it to the chain; lock only
to other locks. Local amenities... On a side road in Potosi, there is
a clean store for drinks, ice cream and groceries. Three miles beyond
Potosi is the town of Rivas, where there are restaurants and hotels.
